I am very sad these days.  We used to be a country of free thought and free speech.  Everyone respected the idea that we are all different and each had our own beliefs based on the life and experiences that we have.  We used to be able to talk to each other and listen to different ideas.  We showed each other respect based on the fact that we all have the right to our opinions and beliefs.  Now we call each other names, personally attack someone for their beliefs and HATE. And yes it comes from all sides.  We need to learn to listen to each other. Respect other opinions and ideas that are not our own.  This is what diversity really is.  Not just diversity based on Sex and Race and Skin Color, but also based on opinions and ideas and deep held beliefs.  Respect for other people is what this country is missing, and I hope and pray we can rise above the pettiness and become one people.
